10. What needs to be accomplished after the VSAT has meet alignment criteria and a confirmation number has been generated?

The final step in the commission process is obtaining the Signal-to-Noise Ration (SNR) and ensuring all the bolts on the antenna are tightened to the proper torque settings.

Additionally, ensure you have applied MoCap or some other form of sealing compound to the elevation locking bolts and the clamp bolts. This will greatly assist StarBand in determining if unauthorized tampering of the elevation and/or azimuth has occurred and after the initial installation. This could save you time and money if a maintenance dispatch is required to repeak the antenna.
