3. What can I do if my certification number and/or passcode does not
work in the automated commissioning system?
Occasionally, the short tones transmitted
by a cellular or mobile phone will cause an invalid response from
the CVACS. Whenever possible, use a hard-wired connection and/or
carry 50'-100' of phone cord as a contingency when installing a
StarBand system. Additionally, if your passcode was changed after
the CVACS database was updated, your new or original passcode may
have not been transferred to the CVACS database. When updating or
creating your passcode, please allow a minimum of 24 hours for activation.
If you receive an invalid certification number/passcode response
from the CVACS, please call StarBand technical support at 1-888-424-4121
for assitance.
