9. Does the CVACS have an automatic time-out protocol for the CW?

Yes. The protocol mechanism only applies to consecutive carrier-to-noise (C/N) readings once a CW is generated. This is to ensure adequate CW is available whenever you call into CVACS to obtain the co-pol and cross-pol readings. If more than 20 consecutive C/N readings are generated (cumulative of co-pol & cross-pol C/N), then the VSAT will be automatically deactivated. The SYN and CON lights on the Model 360 will both extinguish and the VSAT is no longer connected to the network. You will need to call StarBand technical support to reactivate the VSAT.
